RIP Nick du Toit in South Africa.
Got news from Sez Adamson just now that Nic passed away yesterday. He was a good friend of mine and many of you also.

I remember reading Charles' announcement last year that Nic was bedfast. I was sorry to hear of his respiratory ailment and sorry to read of his subsequent passing.
Nic was a unique character and a professional in the music world. In the week I spent with him in class at Jeffran, I learned how intelligent and educated, both academically and musically, he was.
I am sad to have lost another steel friend.
Condolences to Nic's family and friends.

Nic
Some confusion on when Nic died but that doesn't affect the loss we have had.

Rest in peace Nic. Very sad to read this. I've been dreading this news since I heard through here that he was bedridden. Nic was incredibly helpful and generous a few years back when I was starting out. We then lost contact and I knew his health was going downhill. My sincere condolences to his family.
