Topic: when did Emmons first use the narrow cast pedals? |

trying to date a S-10 p/p I just got and thought this info might get me one step closer?

There have been a number of discussions about this on the forum if you do a search. Several folks have said that their guitars as late as '74 had wide pedals, and as early '70 had narrow. I have an S10 fatback that is supposed to be a '73, ser# 1218 S, it has the wide pedals, they are 1-3/8" wide at the foot pads, 2-3/4" spacing on the axle. My later '70s PP has the narrow cast pedals, they are 1-1/8" wide at the pad, ~2-1/2" spacing on the axle.

| 74 is generally when they were put into use. Btw, was that the one for sale in the store in Asheville? |

| Pedals on certain guitars may have been changed at one time by previous owners who preferred one style over the other. Owned a late '70's Sho-Bud 'LDG' and could not get used to the narrow pedals that were being installed at the factory, eventually replaced them with the wider units from a Baldwin Crossover. |
