Tom mostly used his '65 Super Reverb w/15"JBL; he did have a rare ZB custom Amp he played with Ricky(pictured).
He always loved the sound of Fender Tube amp.

I know these things because Tom was my neighbor(Austin,Tx) back in 1981 and he was my first Teacher. I still talk to Mom Brumley(Rolene) and she still comes to a gig of mine when she can.

Tom used Fender amps at his shows in Branson Mo, at least the ones I attended. And most other shows I seen him at were Fender amps. He had a great touch and marvelous tone. I envy Ricky as a neighbor of Tom. What a great guy to borrow licks from. Of course Ricky has become a killer player as well. Was it the water?

Tom played a tweed amp at St. Louis one year. I thought I remembered it being a Bassman, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Larry.
Yes Jerry; Tom had a killer Bassman Amp he loved; that's what he played through on our lessons and I believe he always had that amp as he only said to me that Fender fixed it up for him a long time ago; so he'll keep it forever.

I saw Buck Owens in concert in 1967 in Manhattan and Buck, Don, and Tom each had a Fender Twin Reverb. Volume to spare (I had a seat in the back of the theater) with no trace of distortion from any of them. Amazing sound.

Saw Buck and the Buckeroo"s at this theatre in Ottawa twice ..in "66 and "67...both times three Fender Twins no p/a or moniters..and did they sound good and brought the house down...will never forget either time...Tom and Don to me will never be beat...David ...let the good times roll on...

I was at the Buck Owens April 1969 show at the Capitol Theatre, Ottawa. Great show.
