Mike's done some push/pull work for me in the
past & they don't come much better. Top notch
workmanship and he treats each steel like it's
his own. |

I feel guilty....I still have to take and post pictures of the D-10 Bolt-on restoration Mike did for me last year....it's a work of art! And I agree, the process with Mike is like you're just shootin' the breeze out on the front porch, a pleasant experience. |

Mike set up a guitar for me last year when I was in town for just 20hours and at real short notice, just came on over and did the job right and it plays sweet. A real pro. I agree with what Pat said
"the process with Mike is like you're just shootin' the breeze out on the front porch, a pleasant experience."

Charlie and all; thanks for the kind words Working on/ressurrecting those old guitars is a very satisfying experience.
Funny,I had 2 of those S-10 bolt-on's on here that week. Don't see many of those around. Have fun Charlie!

Andrew, the LKV drops the 5th string B to a Bb. Originally I had this on the RKR but Mike moved it to the LKV. David, the 4th pedal is the Franklin change, drops the 5th B to a A, the 6th G# to a F# and the 10th B to a A.
This is the same axe I played on the the youtube Slidewinders video. Thanks for all the kind words!

Charlie,
I have one just like yours, a '66 Emmons S-10 bolt-on. These are great little guitars and Mike has also worked on mine before.

I love the steel guitar in the video and I recognized the song, "Why've you been Gone So Long" because my favorite band Ricochet recorded it for their album "What You Leave Behind". I love the Emmons steel in that video. I love Emmons guitars that were built in the sixties, whether they're singlenecks or doublenecks. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |
