Eventide H9 Max

Post by Roland Molegraaf »

Hello, is there anybody who has experience with the Eventide H9 Max. Looks amazing on the Internet. I’m a steel player from the Netherlands and do this now for 2,5 years. 😊 thank you.

I have one and it is awesome. Studio quality delays and reverbs and a million other things. One effect at a time though. I don’t use the amp modeling overdrive stuff. That part is sorta weak.

Get the full on with everything model so you have access to upgrades.

Really amazing machine. Don’t hesitate. Super easy to use out of the box but let’s you go as deep as you want if you want to dive in.

I use it as insert in my pro tools rig also. It often blows away plug ins.

LA studio guitarist Tim Pierce has posted a recent video on this box.
It's about 17 minutes.

(Apologies if the URL thingy doesn't work. My luck with that thing is hit and miss.)

I’ve been using the H9 since they came out. Hands down the versatile stomp box available. Highly recommended.

I've had mine for a few months now. I did notice that it takes some tweaking to get good steel sounds out of it. The ability to control it totally from your phone is awesome. You can place the H9 in the back of your amp in the effects loop and just use your phone for all settings. This means one less thing to hook up and carry around.
