Lap Pal
I recently came up with this idea called the Lap Pal. It is very simple but effective.
The Lap Pal allows acoustic guitars to sit level in your lap for dobro style slide playing. It also can be used as a neck caul on a flat surface or in your lap for changing strings.

Product and service is excellent!
I ordered the squareneck model, and when Jeremy learned that someone else had packed and shipped it, he called me right away to let me know. He said if there was any damage, he’d send a new one out. It got here in a couple of days, no damage, works great.
Thanks Jeremy.

Jeremy,
Got mine and dig it. Nice and solid. Cool product. Thanks!
Couple suggestions.
Maybe consider making the "holder" on the squareneck model a bit wider, so it can be used for laps steels, as well?
I'm going to throw some black paint on mine, so it isn't so noticeable on gigs. Might be something to consider. I'd definitely pay a little more for something more professionally finished.
You might think about getting a stack of these (they're free!) from USPS. The box you sent mine in was way too big and cost you more than necessary.

Again, though......thanks for a great idea! Good luck!
