Jon Graboff w/ Zephaniah Ohora
I'm just listening to a brand new album by my friend Zephaniah Ohora, called "Listening to the Music." Great steel by Jon Graboff, who's really featured a lot on the whole record. The first track also has some cool Clarence White style playing by guitarist John Shannon, who plays a lot of great stuff throughout.
There's an unmistakable Haggard influence, as on his earlier album (Norm Hamlett even plays dobro on a track or two). Really good traditional country writing, singing and playing; I know his debut album got a mention or two on here.
You can hear the album and order downloads, vinyl or CD here:

This guy pretty much mastered his style! That's not a knock... that's my appreciation of his fine taste and ability to step in the shoes of a legend.Pete Finney wrote:There's an unmistakable Haggard influence

I'm really enjoying this tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wkoC0Lud58
It has awesome interplay between steel and 6-string Waylon/Mooney style. With great guitar playing like this, I don't care what the singer sounds like...Even better that the singing's great here too.
