New album

Post by Barry Anderson »

Good day, fellow Steelers. My band just released our debut record, and it features yours truly doing my best to make some steel sound pretty OK.

A '73 (I think) Sho-Bud two-hole round front brass barrel Pro-1 is featured prominently on songs 5 and 7, and there's some "textural" steel on 1 and 2. Otherwise, I'm playing bass (and baritone guitar on a couple tracks).

Anyways, I'm no Lloyd Green. But I am pretty proud of the record and I thought some of you might like the music. So, if you've got a minute and are lookin for some new tunes, give it a shot. I think it's on all the usual digital places (Spotify, iTunes, etc.). But perhaps this is easiest: https://www.jessicalynnandbrokenspoke.com/music

Thanks for your time.

Having not previously visited the website I earlier posted in this here thread, I realize now that it didn't really allow a listen to the songs. I'd assume that youtube is the most accessible way to share the music.

Barring continued technical ineptitude, maybe this is actually the way to go: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O ... gFl5mjVgaA

Listening to "Honey Honey". Nice steel work. Great lick at the end!

Very nice Barry. None of us are Lloyd Green, but some of your phrases hint at a bit of Sneaky Pete (minus the phase shifter). Well done.
