Adding Steel To Other's Recording Projects
I have recently been asked to add some steel to various tunes which have been emailed to me. I have no idea what to charge for this service. Is there a standard fee? Do you folks charge by the tune or the entire project? I would be grateful for any guidance. Thanks in advance.

Music hath the charm to soothe a savage beast, but I'd try a 10mm first.

being a semi professional player, i always like to consider things like what the artist's budget is, how much i like their music, how easy is the recording process gonna be (are there charts, is it really complicated stuff) and how much work might i be able to get from this person in the future (consideration for live work, etc.)
that said, i usually end up getting $50 a song.
