There's a Sho-bud LDG that just came into NJAMS (not just another music shop) in Vancouver. The finish is in rough shape and the nut roller on the high G# is buzzing, but it sounds good and plays nicely. Aside from the finish it looks really pretty too.

Just wondering what its year of birth would be: its serial number is : 18587

Thanks!

-Tim

I can't help you on the year it was built, but I would like to suggest if you get it refurbished, Bobbe and his bunch of genius in Nashville did my LDG and it looks and sounds fantastic. Thought it was brand new when I opened the box!

Great guitars. I don't know about the serial numbers, but you may be able to tell what time period it was made based on the style of parts: cross bar shapes, rounded or squared front, wide or narrow pedals, claw or flat headstock....perhaps someone will know about the numbers.

Serial numbers don't mean too much with Buds. A bunch of detailed pics would help.

Tim does it have the straight knee levers or teardrop? Is it triple raise and double lower ? Is it square front or round ? Ricky Davis informs me that the serial number means very little as someone has already said . I just bought an L.D.G. about three months ago myself . Just a great tip whoever buys this guitar buy a Jerry Wallace Truetone pickup and you will be a happy camper . Gary .
