who are the best-known Uni players?
Maurice Anderson and Jeff Newman are the two big names I think of when it comes to the Universal tuning. what about current players? I'm drawing a blank.
and how about D-12 players while we're at it... I can only think of Buddy Cage.

Good question, Scott. I sometimes wonder whether "serious" players regard the uni as a bit of a gimmick with no real virtues. I look forward to being proved wrong

how could I forget Joe? love that guy. I didn't realize Junior was a Uni player and I thought Eddie Long had his own tuning, kind of like Robert Randolph (who I think plays a 13 string?)
I know Buddy Emmons and I believe Hal Rugg (among others) experimented with 12-string and Universal tunings too

Talk about Killer Players! and really nice people too.Lee Baucum wrote:Joe Wright, Junior Knight, David Wright, Zane King, Cowboy Eddie Long
Joe fooled me the first time I saw him at the PSGA show, he wasn't doing his Theawfulest routine but he dressed like he just came off the farm, and I had never seen a guitar like his, I thought he probably built it. But when he started playing it was like nothing I have ever heard. A great entertainer.
