I can't ID him, but it's not Weldon. Here's a better shot of him on the same show. About 2:30.

Discussion some years back. No one ever positively id'ed the man.

Some say Pete Drake, but it's not him. Dunno who.

It's neither Hughey nor Drake. From a distance, there is a bit of likeness to John, but closer shots reveal it is not him.

Not Pete Drake. You can see that from some Pete photos. Although I don't know every guitar he played, never saw any video of him playing an Emmons either.

I know Barbara was married to Randy Reinhard at one time, but doesn't bear any resemblance to him plus this was a much later time than that.

Looks like it could be a young Jim Loessberg to me.

Well it ain't Buddy, but he does play some beautiful harmonics on this one in Bb that was also covered by Don Everly with Buddy playing again:

Here is Don's version with Buddy in G:

What was Buddy playing in 1975, his Blade?

That picture even confirms my guess that is Jim Loessberg. To me the picture looks more like him than the live seen on You Tube. Maybe someone will come up with the real steel player`s name.

That particular song was written by St Louis' own Nick Nixon

A fantastic singer and entertainer himself!

Has her voice changed? Is her singing not as good? and yes I do remember some of her singing from decades ago and it was wonderful.

She made some very nice comments on the forum about Randy Reinhard, to whom she was married for a while, after his death.

Nick never got the recognition or break that he deserved.

This guy reminds me a little of Winnie Winston, but I never saw Winnie without his glasses.
