Are parts readily available to add a knee lever to a push-pull guitar?

John,
Emmons should be able to supply, they had no problem providing me with a kit a few months ago.

I don't have "Kits" as Kits don't apply to this guitar anymore as most have been altered in some way from "factory" standard.
So,, I am getting the parts together to install any knee lever for any direction, to do anything for this great steel guitar. We have most in stock now. Factory original specifications will be adheared to closely when the originals are gone.
These parts will be installed only by our techs in Nashville to eleminate any problems and so we can provide a 100% warrantee.
We are specializing in P-P Emmons guitars and in the Sho-Bud "Permanent" set-up steels.
However, we will also do any older professional guitar that needs pedals, knee levers, or general repairs. These brands include: Fender, Wright Custom,Dek-lee, early Sierra, Bigsby, Miller Custom, Bethel, JCH, and several more.
I have felt that the steel industry needs a professional "Custom Shop" for many years. Well, it's here. We are doing the jobs that no one else wants to do, or can't do.

I bought a "factory vertical knee kit" from Emmons a year or so ago for my P/P and the cross shaft was to long to fit under the guitar?!?
Had to get the hacksaw out and cut it about a 1/4" or so just to get it to fit.
"Measure twice cut once"...
I also noticed that the new bell cranks provided with the kit were about half the thickness of the old ones but that was not a problem.
They did provide all of the collars, spacers and springs and a diagram of how it should all go together which helped.
I also had to ask a lot of questions and get advice from fellow Forum members(thank you Jerry Roller, Jim Palenscar!)along with buying a manual on ebay and downloading another one online for P/P guitars.
Happy ending...I am very happy with the final result.

Good advice Bobbe, got any rooms for rent?

And to John Groover McDuffie... the answer to your question is yes and no, or how bad do you really want them?!?

To all the helpful folks who have responded here and via email, I should clarify that I don't have a push-pull right now, I was just wondering about the viabilities of adding levers if I bought a guitar with less than my desired complement on it.
