I would like to have a camera that works like the camera on my phone so I can send photos directly from the camera to WIFI just like I do with my phone. Is there such a camera?

I know you can connect a cord from your camera to a computer or use a card reader. I've got all that stuff but it's too much trouble to bother with and my phone takes horrible pictures.

I know almost nothing about Bluetooth except it's wireless. If a camera has Bluetooth and that would transmit to Wi-Fi, that would be OK, but I'm not dragging out my laptop to use as a go between the camera and WIFI.

If you already have a digital camera that you like, you may be able to use a wifi enabled memory card in it. Here's an article reviewing some of the newer options for wifi smartcards.

George. You are getting too old for all this technology.

Might be easier to get an iPhone. The cameras on the new ones are pretty amazing
And it’s gonna be a lot easier to send a photo, than it will be using the various WiFi capable cameras that are out there. They are like trying to program your TV with code using your remote. Only everything is tiny and more aggravating.

I have a nice little waterproof WiFi capable camera. When in New Zealand I successfully sent one photo directly to WiFi from it. It took me about 20 minutes to figure it out, and a half bottle of scotch to keep me from throwing the camera out the window.

Paul, you have a good point. If Kodak still made the Brownie Box Camera, I would need help with it.

Brooks, the points you made are exactly what I didn't want to hear. Codes and programming, no way. I can put an SD card in and turn a camera on, but that's about it. I've not used my old camera in several years. I guess I should dig it out and hope I can remember how to use it.

I use a Wal-Mart $39.00 Trac phone, so I should not expect high quality pictures or recording. You get what you pay for. It does everything I need for $20.00 a month unlimited text and talk with no contract. I know iPhones are wonderful, but out of my price range.

Gearge, Tracfone made us update our phones this year, and my new android phone takes higher resolution pictures than my 10 year old camera!
I always buy the refurbished phones, mine was $11.00 shipped!

Bill, where do you buy refurbished phones? Do they have iPhones at a reasonable price?

George, I bought the LG Rebel 4 for both of us, and were all happy! (I don't do much texting, but my wife sure does!)

My old phone had about a half dozen things wrong with it including poor, low light fuzzy photos and no video. I just upgraded and got a new phone. I'm no longer interested in a Wi-Fi camera but I think cameras in the future will, or should be, Wi-Fi standard, the same as phones.

George, I found out my new phone made better pictures, when I tried posting a pic to a site I had always posted to with my camera. Seems the pic was too large, and I had to resize to get it to post!
(I personally think it is now redundant to carry a camera when everyone already has a phone!)
