Pedal Board and Pick/Bar Holder

Post by Flip Brown »

Sometimes I think I should spend less time tinkering with my equipment and more time practicing, however I do love gear. Attached here are two pictures - one of my white painted pedal board, with the pedals held down with "Blu Tack" instead of Velcro. You can see the pick and bar holder from above, and the second picture is a close-up of the holder. I had a mic stand clamp with a swivel unit from a Zoom recorder, to which I attached a wooden dowel and a "Deluxe 34" holder. The whole thing is on an OnStage mixer stand:

Works for me!

Love it, btw, hows the black box? I see there are other goodies too , wondering if the black box by itself is enough?
Cheers,

Hey Paul - the Black Box takes the signal right out of my Sierra Artist, gives it a rich resonance, and sends it to my Lehle volume pedal, then off to my amp (a Fender Steel King). The other boxes are a Sonic Research tuner with sweetened E9 tunings that comes right off of the Black Box, an EHX Small Stone phase shifter, a Sarno Earth Drive overdrive, an EHX Mel 9 (for cool mellotron effects), then a Mooer Chorus and finally a TC Electronics Arena reverb. The effects pedals are connected to the Send and Receive jacks on the Steel King. I think I'm done experimenting for a while!

When you first get the Black Box you will think it doesn't
do much but if you use it for a while and the take it out you'll think WOW what happened to my Tone? Black Box, a good Delay pedal and Reverb covers 90% of what I use. I love my Black Box.
