Good pedal steel from Walter Haynes, but that fiddle kickoff from Shorty L. became a signature for the song from then on. Too bad he doesn't get the credit for some of the great intros and turnarounds he created for Price, Tillis, etc.

Haynes!!!! I was just gunna ask, but now i.know. He was a phenominal steeler...very edgy and all over that E9 neck.... I love this.....

To my ear, that's ol' Jim "Duh-HUH" Baker. I worked WITH Jim a lot, and FOR Walter over the years. Pretty sure that's Jim.
