This Koa lapsteel has kind of an an odd backstory. During the early days of making Georgeboards, a nice piece of Koa came along but it had some imperfection on the side. So Mr. Georgeboards decided to paint the sides and back black and call this lapsteel 'The Grand Piano' for obvious reasons. I thought it was quite beautiful and bought it. However, I found I wasn't wild about the Lace pickup that it came with. So I sent it to Jason Lollar (the only time it ever left my house) and he created and installed the pickup that's in there now calling it a Gibson Grand Console-like pickup. I found it far more pleasing and kept it that way. Now for a confession: Between trying to learn E9 PSG and Open D lapsteel, I just never got around to focusing on c6th. I accumulated more instructional material than any human should ever have but that's my own craziness (the old illusion of I'll get around to it one day). Most of it never got looked at. In the meantime, 'The Grand Piano' stood in the corner tucked in the custom padded case I had made for it. It rarely saw the light of day though I must have tried it somewhat as there's a nick in the back (see picture below). It sounds great and looks like new. I would like $500.00 plus shipping for the guitar and the slew of instructional and play along materials. I still have the foam cutout packing material the guitar came in but not the box so we'd have to purchase one of those too. With all the books and DVDs it might get a bit heavy for shipping (so shipping won't be $25.00!). Just be aware of that. If you're local to the NYC area, we can meet and avoid shipping altogether. Hopefully these pictures convey the beauty of the guitar and what is included though my tablet doesn't take the best photos.

I'll Let you know
So far, potential buyers haven't asked to separate the materials from the guitar. I'll see how this plays out after I get a good estimate on shipping costs.
