Very cool, has a vaguely Steinberger vibe.
Alright, Johnie how do you get it to change color like that? _________________ - keyless Sonny Jenkins laps stay in tune forever!; Carter PSG

I keep hoping they will offer a 7 string version of this or atleast 8. I think the Fouke instruments look super cool, especially these new travel size lap steels |

Steinberger made the tuners, so it’s more than vague! _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Danelectro, Evans, Fender, GFI, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |

The white guitar has its strings going “over the falls†on a single roller. Black one has that very peculiar “under, then over†double roll device. Hmmm .. wouldn’t your bar hand tend to collide with the upper Or worse, the bar on a slant, etc. Jes Thinkin.. am I wrong?
Does the black model have on-the-fly pitch changer? Both are really solid builds overall. |

noticed that. if you press down with the bar hard enough, you will remove the string from the nut, which is the bar on top. the other guitar just has the bottom piece as would be a traditional nut.
also, i see the steinberger style tuner...hopefully these are NOT double ball strings. |

You’re correct Bill, I guess it’s to keep string hysteresis (sp) at minimum, while ring and sustain are full. Who knows..If it has pitch change at p/up end, might be for tuning stabilty? Or our old friend, Les Drag? |

Chris Fouke is very nice, and very easy to deal with. You can get in touch with him through his website, Facebook, or PM him here. He’d need to get a hold of a keyless bridge to do a 7 string version, but I feel confident that he’d work with you on some sort of 7 string travel sized lap steel if you decided to go for it.

It’s a string height leveller. Maybe not much use on a close tuning like C6, but could be a godsend on open D where you might go from 13-62 |

This looks like an updated Magnatone Melodier. The only thing I don't like about this design is tuning with the right hand...not very convenient with picks on. But maybe OK if you don't use picks. |
