Sharing BIAB audio files with other Users

Hello,
I just got BIAB loaded today so am new to the program.
If the 3 other members of the group I practice with each have BIAB, can we share the files that each of us make separately and add tracks, etc? Not sure if the question is clear.

I have Ableton Live software so I am use to recording with that. Consensus was to use BIAB not Ableton.

Also any real time jam software out there worth using.
We all downloaded JAMKAZAM, a free software but didn’t have luck connecting to each other.

Yes you can share Band-in-a-Box SGU and MGU files.

If you are sharing files with other users it's possible someone may not have a RealTracks. There is still a way to share the track. The feature is called "Performance track".

Performance track saves a track as an audio file. You can send a Performance track audio file to your friend who will be able to play that track in a Band-in-a-Box song file without needing to have the RealTracks installed. Performance track radio button turn orange when the track is saved as a Performance track. The track patch name will be orange when the Performance track is loaded.

One way to save a track as a Performance track is to right click on the track patch name, navigate to "Track Actions" and select "Save track as Performance file (wav/wma)" then select wave or wma file format.

The audio file will be named as whatever is the name of the song and the track. The audio file is saved in the bb folder.

Any audio file can be a Performance track in Band-in-a-Box as long as the audio file title includes the name of the loaded song file and a track and the file is stored in the same folder as the song file.

I jam with three other people and they were hesitant to purchase this until we got some confirmation we could share files.
I loaded mine on Monday, reviewed The DVD I got from Ray Thomas, and within a couple of hours of watching the DVD had a nice backing track.
You answered the final piece of the puzzle.

You're very welcome. Glad you were able to make some sense out of the DVD. I thought about doing some advanced videos, but I figured out that the huge learning curve was the basics that I addressed in the DVD. It seems that once you understand how it works, moving on to more advanced task is very intuitive. Nowadays, there's YouTube videos for doing most anything in BIAB. Hope you enjoy.

You gave me the jumpstart!
I was able select my ASIO driver, with the Roland Octacapture, plug in mic and lay
down a track to a tab I created.
May never come out of my basement!
