Sho-Bud Pro 1
Hi everybody,
It’s my first post on here, so please go easy on me! I’m a 26 year old player from England, UK (only as a hobby, I’m a PhD student by ‘trade’). Anyway, I started playing in 2013, until 2016; selling my equipment etc (sellers’ regret - same old story!).
I recently picked up a 1981 Sho-Bud Pro 1. Ive played it for a couple of days and really enjoying playing to be honest. I had a GFI Ultra originally, which I absolutely loved. Mechanically it was incredible. Although I too like the ‘vintage-ness’ of the Sho-Bud! The plan is to pick up a more modern guitar once funds allow for it, but I shan’t part with this old Bud.
I’ve put a link to a short little demo of it, how it sounds etc!

I wrote out a quick tab just so I wouldn’t need to rewind the video to learn the lick. Not sure how accurate it is. The last little bit where you are at the 5th fret and slide down to the 2nd fret I may not have right. I need to work out the best picking too. Ive only been playing pedal steel a short while and I’m definitely not the most studious. Also this tab is kind of a mess. Ha. Thanks again.

Hi Bradley
I started with an old Sho Bud S10 but sold it to get a Sho Bud D10 Pro II. I then got a Zum D10 which was a dream to play so I've kept the old Sho Bud for a practice guitar and it saves me setting up etc. just to practice. I find it somewhat harder to play on the Sho Bud, but it is easier on the zum so, if I can master something on the Sho then I know it will be easier on the Zum! I've built a music stand with shelves onto the Sho Bud which gives me a great work station to practice on. It's good to hear you will hang onto the Sho Bud.

Hi Larry, I’m in the process of ‘revamping’ my YouTube. This thread relates to this lick
