No, not me Paul - I wish. I heard these guys on Sirius xm yesterday driving home from the grocery store and had to look em up on youtube...hadn't heard of them before. So I checked the Forum and didn't see anything about them, just an old post from Charlie McDonald about a new band name. Figured I'd post a clip so a few others could check them out.
Well, you know how it goes - I checked out some more of their stuff, then on to the Hacienda Brothers, Dave Alvin...before I knew it, it was 2 am. Now I'm on my second pot of coffee.
Be well,

Steve, the Panhandlers are fantastic, the whole record is great. I'm curious as to who is playing steel on the recording.

The band is a super group type thing consisting of Cleto Cordiero (Flatland Cavalry), John Baumann, William Clark Green, and Josh Abbott, all have ties to West Texas, Lubbock and Texas Tech.

The record was done at Bruce Robison's studio direct to 2 track tape.

Keep an eye on the these guys, I saw the first two a month and a half ago in NYC and they were both fantastic.
Regards, Craig

Craig,
I was able to listen to the whole album tonight and I really like it...all of it. Top of my play pile now, as we used to say. I found the album credits somewhere online and they said Geoff Queen is playing pedal steel and dobro, along w electric and acoustic guitars...sure sounds good.
I'll be watching for these guys from now on.
