Very sad ! I've only met Hook a couple of times and talked to him on the phone a couple times. His uncle Will here in Ohio is a good friend. My deepest condolences.

So sad to have never got to know Hook like I wished. We had good times amongst local pickers in the Charleston Wv area many years ago. In our late 20'searly 30's jammin'at the Longhorn late Sun afternoon on Sissonville. What a time that was.

I met Hook years ago at the Texas Jamboree in, of all places, the men's room at the hotel while we were washing our hands. He introduced himself and I introduced myself, and we spent the next 15 minutes discussing steel in the men's room. A very congenial man.

He and I had communicated some by private message on the forum. I wanted to stop and see him last summer on my way to Kentucky. I wanted to see the way one of his guitars was set up. Then I had a heart attack and was down for a year. Now he is gone. RIP
