Big E photos - 1983-ish

Post by Frank Freniere »

I FOUND IT!!!

Actually, my brother-in-law found it: a picture of me, the Big E, and my late sister- and a bunch of other photos.

Buddy gave an afternoon concert around 1983 at The Country Music Inn on Aptakisic Rd, in Prairie View, IL. About 15 minutes in, slowly one by one people got up from their tables and stood around Buddy, playing his ass off, until 20 or more of us completely surrounded him, a few feet away.

I thought the photos were lost. Then 37 years later my BIL sends me a contact sheet and there it is - wow. Thanks, Bubba Jack!

That big smile on his face and the occasional guffaws, I could never figure out whether he just missed something he was going for, if he found something he wasn't looking for or just diggin' his own pickin'.

Great shots there Frank. I know they are treasures to you. Thanks for showing them to us.
