Irv...I don't have any knowledge about the Emmons Company's engineering.
To your knowledge, were there improvements made / weaknesses found that prompted the various tailstock configurations?
Was one version of the three better than the others?
Which version seems to have survived the years with the least grief?
Sorry to take so much of your time - you seem to have a pretty thorough history of steel guitars. I have followed your posts on the non-pedal Forum for many years. |

Cut Tails are the most common, after that are bolt-ons. Wraparounds are pretty rare.
Btw, all wood neck Emmons' are bolt-ons - except for a few...a custom job or the reissues, for instance.
My understanding is that bolt-on metal neck p/p's are more prone to temperature tuning issues.
But they're all good... |

Each pic is labeled in upper-left, but the red/pink lettering is a bit faint. Or if one is colorblind might be tough. So for absolute clarity:
Top: Wraparound
Middle: Bolt-On
Bottom: Cut-Tail |

On the different designs it's hard to tell if the changes were made to enhance the tone or for ease and/or cost of manufacture.
