when mike johnson is playing on country family reunion or any where else,what amp and effects is he using? i realize its in the hands but......

Ron, I have seen Mike live at a steel show and I asked him about that. If I remember correctly he was using an older Nashville 400 that had a Black Widow speaker and was stock. I can't remember if he used a Boss DD2 delay or not. No matter, he was playing an Emmons and of course sounded awesome. The Country Family Reunion has one of the best sound man in the broadcast field. Same goes for Larrys Country Diner. As for your question, Mike is a superior pro picker and one of the nicest guys ever.

I played a steel show with him years ago and he used a Sarno BlackBox into his stock Peavey Nashville 400.

Most videos I've seen have been a LTD 400

LTD 400 most of the times. J.R.
Black Performance SD-10, 2002. Peavey LTD 400 with 15" Eminence EPS 15-C, Sho-Bud Seat, Goodrich L-120 Pedal, Sho-Bud Bar, Picks, Cords. Nothing else.
