New Khruangbin + Leon Bridges EP

Post by W. Van Horn »

I had a lot of fun working on this great EP. Working on KB projects can be a challenge - it's a balance of remaining sparse but present enough to contribute to the song. Top talent all around on this EP - my favorite musicians and repping Houston hard.

The EP has steel all over it - check it out if that's your kinda thing!

The steel sound on Midnight is pretty fun:

I've been digging this track since it dropped! Such a cool vibe, and the steel just makes it so much better! Great work!

Me too! It's the best song I think I've heard in a while. I'm going to add it to my list of songs to learn how to play.

Hey Will,

Very, very cool. I'm really liking some of the other stuff too, with you and Khruangbin. I wasn't aware of them before, cool band (sorry I missed your previous post(s) about them over the years).

Here's some live video of Will with the band:

Wait, those are wigs, right!?

I love how 'Texas Sun' is only two chords except for the bridge. Goes to show that sometimes that's all you need.

Entertaining KB rig rundown, he only owns one guitar pick and wired his pickups wrong, she has one pedal ...

Cool! These guys caught my ear when I was watching an episode of Barry. This sounds right up my alley. I'll have to dig deeper into this. Good stuff.
