Here you go
LKR splits with RKL giving the Ds - D#
LKLI splits with P1 giving the normal split on E9th.
P2 + LKR is C pedal
Image
This is the way I like it to have the minimum amount of pedals and knee levers. Also in D it's only a whole tone away from both E9th and C6th. It could be done in E. Also if a player prefers an Emmons setup that's easy to do too. Some players might want the normal C pedal, in that case the LKR would just raise a half tone. It adds one floor pedal that way. My goal was to get everything I had on my D12 and my old triple neck Zum in one tuning with the least amount of pedals and knees. And I have achieved that.

Just great! In every way.

For just one question of many, what speakers and cab's are you using with your Quilter 202 amphead?

Thank you for sharing!

I'm using the TT12 combo which has the Travis Toy Eminence speaker. I just have an extra speaker cabinet.

Great demo, Johnny! The older I get the more I realize at some point if I'm going to keep gigging out I'm going to probably have to consider a single tuning. This looks really interesting.

Johnny this is awesome.

I’m really leaning towards a new msa, but Kyle has a 13 month lead time right now.

I’m wanting to find a decent old 12 string and would really like to try your setup.

I like the fact that it’s not a typical universal. It reminds me of morrells e13 with pedals

Your video is great, thanks for posting and sharing

Could the tuning be used without the Franklin pedal? Is that pedal integral to something else?

Ron it can. Do you lower the 5th string on C6th? That is the same change in this tuning.

Yes I do Johnny. So it's a keeper.

I'm really toying with the idea of experimenting with this. Need to find an S12, nothings fancy or even pretty. That way I can still play my D10's, but see what I can milk and get use to out of it.

What I hear thus far with your samples,it covers about all you could want.

What do you miss in your opinion vs. your C6?

Thx,
Ron

Ron, I think Johnnie King has a GFI SD12 for sale. The jury is still out on the C pedal. If I can get a half stop to work properly raising the Ds to Eb-E then I will leave it off. And it can be setup with Emmons A&B too.

I play two footed on 6th mostly using right foot to toggle P7.

I would prefer only 5 knees on my existing rig. Could I add another lever???? Dont want to.

If you had to put one knee combo on a pedal - what would it be and where would it go?

Part 2: i play alot of my 6th tuning out of S9 (F) root with the 9764 grip and moving to the 8653 grip. What does that imply as far as RKR for this approach.

Jack, Bob does have a set of strings for this tuning. As for two more strings I would probably add a G between the A and E then maybe a low G on the 14th .

If you don't want the 6th lever you will lose that chance. This tuning is set up in such a manner that two feet are never necessary. As far as grips you just skip the 8th string to get your normal C6th groupings with RKR engaged.

John!
JayDee pulled me aside this weekend and absolutely RAVED about your video and the new tuning! After watching the video I completely agree. Brilliant tuning, my friend. And your playing is great. I'm now looking for a 12-string!
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

JC.

i watched your video and it was wonderful. but i noticed that you really dont play those low strings all that much.

so that having been said...may i ask you a question.

in all your working out of this tuning did you ever consider using the last two strings for two pitches that were higher and would work better in the more baritone area rather than down low in the bass register. hearing all those nice chords you played when you referenced the C6 stuff made me think about extending the chords down a bit in the baritone register for clarity rather than down in the low area for tonic notes that the bassist in the ensemble would be covering anyway.

just wondered if you ever considered that and what you might have tuned them to.

PS. you have the triple neck pedal guitar!! i have been trying to remember here on the forum who had that and i saw you say something about it. do you have any video of you playing that?
