Sperzels, aluminum neck, sliding pickup...aptly named! Looks kinda like a square front in those angles.

I like the sliding pickup idea. Not sure why more builders don't do something like that. Or add more pickups. Regular electric guitars have had multiple pickups since the 1940s. I've always wondered why almost all PSGs only have one.

Johnie, what is it about this guitar that makes it a Maverick?... This is beautiful, but sure doesn’t look anything like the Maple Maverick I had in the early 70’s.
Do you have any pictures of the undercarriage?

Dale this steel belongs to Harry Jackson Mr. Sho Bud himself I would say the Body an end plates our the only thing original.
This Maverick has modern 3 over two changer
All new undercarriage
Sliding pickup
New style Jackson style Key head
New extruded pedal board an pedals.
This Maverick is a special steel it’s certainly not for sale.

This Maverick is played a little everyday by Harry in his shop.

For a s10 Sho Bud Maverick I could not believe how well she plays the knee lever an pedal placement is spot on no knee lever flags needed on this S10.

The undercarriage I for got to take pictures of but I can tell you it is as nice an neat as the
Top pictures. Harry is a perfectionist nothing goes undone he don’t experiment because he knows how to do the job right the first time!!

Thanks Johnie - It didn't look like my later model Pro I key head. I figured Harry put some of his magic to work! Did it really start out as a Maverick? If so, the inlay and two tone really makes it special.

With all due respect, that's not really a Maverick.

It's a great looking guitar though. I love it!

I think of a "continuation" model looking at this guitar. A modern update to the original from the late 80s or early 90s. Regardless, considering who conceived it and owns it now, he could call it anything he wanted! Only a Jackson brother has the creds for that!

Yes she’s a Maverick It’s Harry’s pet project. She’s going to get three more knees to go with the four that’s on her know. One of the knees will be a forward push. I saw this Maverick when she was a pull release.

Inquiring people might want to know...

Has Gretsch relinquished or sold the rights to the "Sho~Bud" name?

If "Sho~Bud" was on that guitar when it was built, there is no reason why it can't stay on. :D
