Really nice guitar! Well cared for; used primarily in smokeless studio. Standard Emmons setup: 8/4. It was completely restored by Tom Cassella a few years back. Sounds amazing! They just don't make guitars like this one anymore. There are a couple of little dink blemishes on the chrome plate (C6 neck) I have tried to get them in a photo; Tom had tried to buff them out but couldn't. The suitcase is like new (did not store steel in it). I have two cases for this guitar: an SKB with wheels that I will ship it in (packed, of course), and the suitcase style that I'd ship separately. I'll also include several sets of strings. Also includes the original Emmons pedal and a spare pot. Looking for $4300 for the entire package plus shipping. The pictures of the finish don't do it justice. It's more light cream color than white, and it has a textured look of leather. All original. The volume pedal is in great shape, as you can see. This guitar sounds like butter! I've used it primarily for studio, and everybody always comments on the sweet sound. This guitar should go to somebody who will appreciate the tone and finesse of an Emmons.

I have no reason to believe it is not original. It's a cream colored formica, with texture pattern to make it look like leather. It's in beautiful shape; I can't find any scratches or dings on it.

It appears that this fine guitar has a pair of Emmons dual-coil pickups. The addition of the mini toggle switch is most likely to defeat the tone circuit. With stock factory wiring, the original toggle switch selects either one or both coils for either pickup (depending on the neck selector switch). With that setup, there is no tone defeat circuit (the tone knob is always working).

This is a really nice guitar and I'm surprised that it's still for sale at this very fair price.

Thanks for the info and the thumbs up, Lynn! It hasn't been online for more than a couple of weeks, and with the Christmas bustle, I figured it really won't move until next month. It really is a very nice guitar, and whoever ends up with it will have an instrument to be proud of. It always gets a lot of "Ooohh!s" and "Ahhhh!s". I'd love to keep it, but it's getting too much for me to pull out and set up, at least as compared to my Sho-Bud S10. I'm getting to be an old lady!

I really didn't use the C6 hardly at all, but I always replaced the strings at the same time I did the E9. It has all brand new strings on it now.

Lynn is correct. The guitar does have dual coil pickups and the extra switch is to eliminate the tone circuit.

Bob, The mica is factory original.

I did this guitar over several years ago and have seen it more recently. It still looks very good and sounded great.
Sandy keeps all her musical instruments in great shape.

Someone will have a great guitar.

I actually owned two '67 Emmons D-10 guitars with this very same mica. I think it's attractive and it's also very forgiving, as it doesn't show fingerprints, dust, etc. like a darker color does.
