Hey Chris several years ago Danny nacarrato (I think) had a seat built by one of the flight case makers. It was really the best thing I’ve seen. I think it was Danny. But I saw the prototype for it when I had that same company build a flight case for my emmons. The case manufactured in stephenville or Dublin Texas somewhere down in that area. But don’t recall the name

I bought a custom steel seat from a well-regarded company about 10 years ago. I weigh only 150 pounds, but the seat bottom broke. I followed the company's advice to repair it, but the seat now squeaks when my weight shifts. And the seat is no longer level.

I suggest you buy an adjustable keyboard seat and a gym bag to carry your gear. That's what I now do.

Cheaper, more reliable and lighter than a custom steel seat.

Steelers Choice for me, I think the new custom built I have right now (less than a month old) is number 5 for me. I currently have 3, 1 at Church, another in my music room and lastly the other in the truck ready for a gig. The others have been sold through the years. Dan will you do a great job as did his dad Kenn.

Dan is the guy to go to. He custom built me a seat once that held a Furman power conditioner. He did a great job on it. Wish I had pics of it.

I have one Steelers Choice that Ken Rollans built for me in the early 80’s. I have four others that Dan Rollans built after he continued the company. All are still in excellent condition. I know there are several great seat builders but I believe Steelers Choice is used by more pro players than any other.

Another one for Steeler's Choice. I can't imagine a better seat. It's durable, comfortable, the perfect height, folds up nicely, doesn't squeak, and looks pretty cool.

I changed my mind. I'm going to stand and play from here on out.
Can you guys recommend someone to do leg and rod extensions?

Ha....just kidding.
Thanks for the input. I'll be checking with these vendors soon.

Ken Rollans had heart surgery close to the time I had my surgery. We founded “The Zipper Club”. Ken was President and I was Vice President. He was a great guy and very good friend as well as fine steel player. Dan is of the same mold as his Dad.
