I have a Peavey Session 2000 that has recently suffered a burnout. I've verified that there is damage to the components on the chassis (caps and resistors are obviously crispy and/or deformed) and it has 'that smell' when powered up.

I have no desire to troubleshoot and repair this unit --- I have moved on and so it sits. I'd like it gone but wish to recoup at least a few of the dollars I have in it.

I powered the amp off for the last time, and when I did it was still working, although there was a considerable amount of distortion in the signal. Once I powered it off, I opened the chassis and immediately saw the damage and when I touched one of the resistors it powdered in my hands. I did not turn it on again after that.

The amp is stock to the best of my knowledge. It has a Black Widow speaker, supposedly, but I am unable to verify this as it does not say 'Black Widow' on the speaker --- there is a black plastic ring around the speaker that has 'Peavey' inscribed in it.

Also I have the RC2000 remote controller which has a mount to connect it to the leg of the steel.

Willing to part out and ship the chassis, speaker and RC2000. Also willing to take pics if there is any interest.

As far as price, these amps are so rare I looked for another chassis and came up empty-handed. It was a great amp until it failed Sad

Make me an offer on anything.
