H iFolks does anyone know an easy way of restringing a 1970's a Sho-Bud volume pedal and what is the best alternative to using cat-gut?

It's fairly straight forward and you can use mason's twine available at most hardware stores.

I have, I did not find restringing mine to be an enjoyable process.

I have, I did not find restringing mine to be an enjoyable process. I will suggest putting a little slack in the line if you don’t like your pedal to cut off all the way.

Nothing hard about re-stringing a Sho~Bud volume pedal. I have had one since 1977. I use a heavy fly rod string, and only had to re-string when I changed volume pot.

I had to re-string my Goodrich volume pedal...I found a couple of very good videos on youtube. They showed step by step about how to do it. Worth a try.
