Ally, it seems that there are many sellers who will not ship outside of the U.S. I have international customers who have me ship their merchandise to freight forwarders. The forwarders do all of the required paperwork and handle the overseas shipping. It is an added expense.

Mike, I've played it... great sounding guitar, but never quite got to grips with the bizarre 7-string tuning. Very, very expensive, though, at £1395 (about $2,000!)

See what we have to contend with in the UK?

Here's another one. This one is a 1970s model with a round neck.

There are two different kinds of Sho-Bros out there: Those made by Gretsch and those made by Shot at Sho-Bud. The ones made at Sho-Bud (after 1973) are a much better instrument. The one on e-bay could be a good catch for $677, if made after Aug,1973, at Sho-Bud. The serial number or lack of tells. If it is a Gretsch, arounbd $400 is a better price.

I emailed the seller for the s/n.

Judging by the s/n provided by the seller, I think that there is a good chance that it is a Gretsch-built Sho-Bro (March, 1973) and if that is in fact the case, IMO, over priced

I owned one of these squarenecks in the late 70's in Michigan- I remember it as being a bit of a beast... I had a really fine Surise pickup custom built for it by Murphy/Shaw guitar works. I don't miss the Sho-Bro but I'd sure like to have that pickup back!
