Can anyone tell me where to find the year or the year of an Emmons Lashley LaGrande with silver pedals and Serial # 889L ?

I know of no charts on the web for LeGrands. Emmons Serial numbers will only give you a ball park figure anyway. From my experience. I'll guess it's a late 91 or early 92. If it has 14 hole bell cranks? It's more likely a early 92. About half the 91's had four hole cranks. About half had 14 hole bell cranks.

Ron made me 2 guitars in '90....both had 14 hole bellcranks. Might have been prototypes.

I have a Late Oct 1990 with machined 14 hole cranks. It was the second one built according to Ron. Hal Rugg got the first.

Emmons never made a model called the LaGrande.

Because they never did. Its Called (and spelled) LeGrande.

I'm pretty sure the correct spelling is Edmonds "LaGrange". ZZ Top wrote a song about them. I think there are quite a few in Texas, Bundy Edmonds played one

Given the serial # you listed. I feel sure it's a late 91 or 92. Great guitars.

Serial numbers are not directly related to a specific date but my guess would be early to mid 90's and definitely a LLII.

Hey Jack, during your time there did the serial numbers go out the door more or less in sequential order, or did they skip around? Or to ask that in a different way, were the numbers assigned when the guitars were completed, or through some other protocol?

Serial numbers were in sequence as to when the body was completed. Not connected to when the guitar was assembled or shipped.
