Decided it was time for a new steel and pulled the tirgger on this Oahu. Very warm tone I am very satisfied with it!

Very nice. I've been wanting a Tonemaster or Diana lately. Congrats

I love my Diana - the Valco string-through is, to my ears, nicer than the Tonemaster pickup....and than most other pickups!

The legendary 1959 Les Paul has recently been discussed as "better" both because of the pickups and also NOT because the wood is aged, but because the maple available back then was simply a better grade of wood...so I'm thinking that my maple 1954 Diana might also benefit from that...

AN OFFER: The little brads holding the plastic fretboard on have a way of falling out as the wood ages and shrinks - if you need a couple, I bought a box of 100 to replace my 3 missing ones...got them â…›" longer so they would be able to grab...I'd be happy to send you a few if needed...

Thanks for the offer Steve! As of right now I'm not in the need of any, but thanks very much for your generosity.
