If you go to the bottom of the File drop down window there is a list of the 5 last songs you played. Is there any way to increase the number of listed songs.

Great question. I don't think I've ever read that question asked before.
As you stated, the last 5 songs you loaded are listed just below the exit command. That is hard coded into the program as far as I know. But that is not the only way to access a list of song played.
Go to "File" > Open Special .." > "Open Favorite Songs" or use the keyboard command "Shift + F3" to open the Favorite Songs window.
The Favorite Songs window has a toggle that either lists the last 150 opened song files or styles used or a user created list of favorite songs or styles.
The Favorite Songs window is also used to create a set list of songs that will play on the Band-in-a-Box Jukebox.
