Anything known?

This 24 string steel guitar turned up at an Australian auction this week. It was apparently made in Australia.
It has a DELTA hold at airport label in the name Steve Weingarten on the case.

So does anyone know anything about this instrument or Steve Weingarten?

Shot in the dark. Each lever changes the pitch of a string. Slide not needed???????

Sort of like an autoharp?
