I have a question about how the sweeteners in the Strobostomp HD are affected by changing the global concert pitch.

If you use one of the Newman settings that has the E's set at 442.5, will the offsets be the same - in cents relative to concert pitch - if you change the global concert pitch?

For example, If I wanted to use the Newman offsets but based on tuning the E's to 441, can I just set the global concert pitch to 438,5?

Hi Niklas,

Concert pitch control is a global adjustment, so changing the concert pitch does not affect the interval spacing of the Sweeteners (relative to each other) in any Peterson tuner including the StroboStomp HD, they remain the same.

If you take the 0E9/0P9 Sweeteners, the E's are already at 0.0 cents at the default concert pitch of A440Hz, so just select A441Hz and you're done.

John,

Is it possible to edit/customize the any of the presets and re-save as a brand new preset?

Hi Mike,

No, you can program your own Sweeteners but the factory Sweeteners cannot be edited or erased.

Hi Mike,

No software needed, it's done using an online utility on our website called Peterson Connect:

https://www.petersontuners.com/sweeteners/custom/

...then loaded onto your tuner via USB.

Niklas,

I've done what you are asking on the StroboPLUS Hd.

Using the Peterson software online, if you put a tuning in your 'presets' you can edit the pitch for that tuning and the new pitch only applies to that preset.
