MSA Vintage XL SD-10 SOLD Donation sent
This is a killer guitar. It used to belong to Junior Knight. He used it on a few tracks on his last CD. I do not know which tracks, you would need to ask him. It is in overall very good condition. Plays like butter and stays in tune. I put an E66 in the guitar because of my own personal preferences but it will be sold with what I believe to be an LXR-16 pickup that was in it when junior had it. Maybe if Junior sees this post he could confirm this is an LXR- 16. It could also be a 710. 4 pedals and 5 knees.
Thanks! - Leo GrassL

Junior,
Thanks so much for confirming the pickup that will be in the guitar when sold is an
XR-16!
All emails/ PMs have been responded to. I have had interest from a few folks already about coming and getting the guitar in person. And yes it would be quite simple to swap the knee levers in this guitar.

Mostly still Emmons? I'm really looking at this guitar but I don't have much luck swapping pedals and knee levers. I get that the 0-pedal is the franklin, but are 1, 2 & 3 still ABC Emmons? I wish I knew the complete copedant of the guitar.

Re: Pedal Steel for sale
So the pedals are backward (from Emmons), the E-Lower is on the right? What else? Sorry for my questions but I'm not great at looking at the rods and figuring this stuff out.Charley Bond wrote:You can see the guitar is setup CBA. Take a picture of the setup & reverse it... done deal.

Copedent
The post states the copedent is the Emmons setup with the E lower on the RKL... it's ready to play....
It also has the Franklin Pedal on "0"

The post about the Day setup (John Booth) was deleted.. the Franklin B pedal fooled me into making that comment

So the only change I would need to make is swapping the RKL and the LKR to be pure Emmons (Other than the 0-pedal)? Is this correct? I appreciate your input here

So, it appears I'd have to re-rod (swap) the LKR and the RKL to put the E-lower on the left and the
Also have to re-rod the vertical to lower string 5 (B to Bb)
(Based on the Pic of the Emmons setup above)

I just want to clarify that this guitar IS Emmons setup in the terms we use it today meaning that the pedals are ABC. Of course if you are talking about Buddy's exact setup than it is slightly different however I don't know anyone in town who does have Buddy's exact setup and those of us who have the pedals setup in the order of ABC call this an Emmons setup.
Still for sale!
And thank you Jack. Yes a lot of folks lower the Es on RKL. It's a perfectly good way to go.
