Hi all,

I recently purchased new legs for my ‘73 PP that are 1 inch shorter than standard height (to which my guitar is currently set). Regarding my pedal rods, should I replace them too? Or shorten them all 1 inch as well (not sure how I would do that)? I frankly don’t know the complexity involved, or if it’s something I should even attempt on my own.

Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think you're better off replacing the pedal rods instead of shortening them, in case you ever need to sell the guitar. Having the original standard height legs and rods would be a plus.

I am with B0B on this one. I would buy or make another set of pedal rods 1" shorter. This way you would have a set of tall legs and pedal rods and a set of 1" shorter legs and pedal rods. Keep 1 with the guitar, Sell the other set.

Jerome,

I have an extra set of 1" under standard PP pedal rods and could use your standard height legs, if they are in nice condition.

Please check your email inbox.

Thanks for the advice all! Glad to know it’s just a matter of replacing the rods. Lynn, look for my reply. Love this forum. Thanks again Smile
