Great list, Jeremy! I had to laugh to see Larry Ferrari at the top of the list. He was always on TV on weekend mornings when I was kid growing up in Philly.
I added a few more to the list above. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

Go here:
https://archive.org/details/georgeblood?&and[]=subject%3A%22Hawaiian%22
Select "Hawaiian" from the "topics and subjects" list of genres.
You'll access 1455 Hawaiian 78s from the 20s into the early 1950s.
Listen or download in MP3 or FLAC
These have been painstakingly digitized.
You can filter by year or artist or just browse the list.
Pay special attention to the Bell label stuff for the cream of the crop of the immediate post war era. Steel by David Keli'i, Tommy Castro, Jules Ah See, Splash Lyons, Jacob Keli'ikoa, etc.

Thank you all. I’ve only been on the forum for about 10 years, and this is the only place
you can find many lifetimes worth of knowledge and experience. This is my first stop every day, well after the coffee pot that is.

An incredible resource, caring and sharing labor of love for our instruments and music. It will take quite a while to listen this motherload.

Fantastic! Thanks Andy, Jeremy and Mitch. This is one of the most remarkable resource threads I’ve seen here. So much to listen to, so little time...... |

Don't forget Territorial Airwaves! Some great music there as well, and if you know what you're doing (hint...view page source) it is not difficult to get in MP3 format.

Sure thing! I've been listening to Harry B a lot this week and find his bumper music irritatingly / amusingly "earwormy". And I finally figured out what a "Blahlah" is, hah.
Also, these have their own thread, but for sake of consolidation, might as well include the link here too.
