Can anyone tell me if this Amp is worth 500 dollars. I am looking for a nice sounding Amp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

They go new for over $2500, I believe. I've not heard anyone who bought one who disliked it. But, ultimately, it depends on your personal tastes. If you love tube amps, you may not like it. But I will tell you this - if you decide to not buy it, kindly contact me via forum Email or PM with details and I will buy it if it's all in working order!
Pedal steel, lap steel, resonator, blues harp - why suck at just one instrument when you can do so on many?

I eventually found out that the amp sounds best without the built in effects unit and just a stomp box or two in front of it.

Greg, you're referring to the TC G2 processor. I have the Lexicon option in my rack system and it sounds fine to me. But then what works is very personal and depends on many things....

I can only speak for the Lexicon, but it's important to run it fully wet, otherwise the latency in its direct component will interfere with the direct signal through the preamp, causing a blurring of the sound.
I'm not sure that all users are aware of this. It's a shame to throw it away just because it's not set up right.
