$2K seems like the high end for this guitar, that being said, for about $500 and some elbow grease a knowledgeable Emmons person could turn this into a good player SD10. A player SD10 for $2500 isn't too bad I guess, if you don't quantify the work. And it's still going to look beat up. I bet it sounds good!

Thanks, yep, that's what I was thinking. It appears all's there for the E9, pedals & knees need adjustment. B pedal however doesn't seem to respond though.

just for the record, i would pay 600.00 shipped to 36351 in alabama. by the time you replace everything it will need it will still be a 2500.00 guitar which will include a lot of work....thanks jack

Just my 2-cents in looking at the pics.......

- At least there are some bellcranks left on the C6th side.
- It’s a letdown that the pedals have been narrowed. Tough to find replacements to fully restore it. Pedal rods can be difficult to find but I’ve found them to be out there. Then again, there’s the possibility at least some of the missing hardware might still be in the owners’ home or shop.
- Early 70’s is neat. Never seen blue mica on one from that period.
- Missing rods, springs, and other undercarriage hardware is available from a variety of sources. Use Gotoh replacement tuners. Be nice if all knee levers are original.
- Needs a complete teardown and rebuild.
- To me, it’s kinda’ got a bit of mojo goin’ for it. Again, that’s just me looking at it.
- A project not for the faint-hearted or first-timer. But a doable one.
- Case?

Looks like a gold mine too me in parts.
But this Emmons needs to go too a good restoration person.
After a restoration with a new poplar Formica color.
Converted too a Sd10 4 an 5. I would think she would demand a pretty penny at least
$4000 that’s if one of the pros do the work an we all know an respect what they can do.

Kent has it at $2000 but he knows exactly what this steel is worth $2000 is a bargain if you can do the rebuildI you’re self. But sending it to the pro push pull mechanics guys to make new is another story.

Looks overpriced to me. There’s an ‘82 9x6 push pull for sale on the Forum right now for $2500.

(I knew I should’ve stayed out of this!)

This is destined to become an SD10 which, to me, is a shame. On the bright side there may be spare parts available on the market now.

The $3500 dollar d10 9 an 6 just came up for sale in Michigan for $2500 Yes Jack I hate to see the buyer underprice a nice push pull, I guess he dose not know he has a $3500 steel. Or maybe he just wants to pass on a good deal

I've built more push pulls then I care to count. and I was thinking of offering $1200.00 if he has the case. with shipping $100.00 that's $1300 add the parts at around 800.00 to 1000,00 now we come to around $2100.00 plus the labor $1000.00 comes to $3100 sell for 3400.00 maybe a little more or Less. I would not go $2000 that's to much. for a guitar in need of a total rebuild.

Paul that is why I offered $500, and Johnie that other guy is probably wanting a quick sale on his emmons guitar that is why he priced it low, he needs money quickly.
