John Hanusch does excellent work. I think he lives in the Round Rock or Taylor TX area. I haven't heard from him in a couple years but I'll bet he's gonna attend the TSGA Jamboree in March.

Most any plating company could rechrome most of what you see- no problem- but it could be abit pricey. |

Gordon, I may have way different ideas than you do, but I think I'd invest about a week's worth of spare-time elbow grease, some contact cleaner and strings and play it as it is. I love the old Customs, and I haven't seen many walnut ones.
I'd leave the war scars on it -- the guitar earned everyone of them! :- )

Gordon if you get ahold John Hanusch please ask him to send me an e-mail. ....... BTW we have a world class chrome shop here in Anchorage I've been using for 35 years. They'll chrome anything a magnet will stick to...It doesn't cost much more to ship it to Anchorage compared to shipping to Califoria (until you get over 40lbs).I've restored several old Fender steels and have some other sources if you have trouble. Good luck! LA
