Is a S-10 pushpull less comfortable playing than a SD-10 or a D-10? Thanks, Gary

Depends on what's comfortable to you.

I used to think a single was more comfortable until I started playing a D10. Now it seems hard to play my S10 without having that back neck to rest my arms on.

At least, when you're playing E9....

I find mine very comfortable to play -- from the first time I tried it out -- but there is no "armrest" if that's what you're used to. The knee levers are close to the back, so you don't have to get your legs 'way under the body to reach them.

My frame of reference for comparison...I've also owned a S-10 Dekeley, a couple of D-10 Sho-Buds, several Dobros and lap steels.

My S-10 is extremely comfortable when I have to carry it in the case (hee-hee!) and it sounds absolutely marvelous
