Google Drive Question...

Post by Doug Beaumier »

Are Google Drive files accessible to anyone, or just to people with a Google account? Can anyone who has the link view, play, and download Google Drive audio files?

I'd like to discontinue the CDs that come with my song books and put the audio files on GDr instead. There would be four folders with a total of 192 audio files (mp3s).

I would put a link to the files in the book(s). But I need to be sure that any buyer can access the files, not just those with Google accounts. I think it is possible, but I can't get a definite answer from people I talk to about it. Any thoughts?

That’s helpful, thanks. There’s a section there on public files that anyone with the link can access, and the file owner can set the level of access, view, download, edit, etc.
