I have been tuning my Weissenborn guitar in C6 and after looking real close at it, I am thinking that the neck may not have been made to take that much stress?

Do any of you guys know?

I prefer the C6 tuning but I would lower that down to A6 if there is a lot of danger in using C6

This is not American made but it looks as strong as the authentic American models.

Bill Asher's String Gauge Advice

For new Master builds C6

C E G A C E
.039, .032, .026, .022, .018, .013

For vintage acoustic Weissenborn type guitars use this lighter adjusted set.

*NOTE always use a wound third string for slide guitar sets.

If the top is not bowing dramatically you’re probably okay... the top is where the stress shows.
