Fender 2000 d10 can you tell me what a fair price for one of these in good working condition would be.
I’m guessing they may have a little mojo in sound.

I'd say $1200-$1500, and the price guides do too. |

A Fender 2000 was my first pedal steel, in 1969. It was the demo model at the 1969 DJ Convention.
I added a knee lever with a custom kit from Sho-Bud. |

There are players on the Facebook Fender Pedal Steel Page looking for these. That's where the bulk of the Fender pedal steel players on the internet congregate.
FWIW a D8 is a model 1000, and completely different. The 2000 is a double raise/single lower, dual-10 string guitar; the 1000 a dual-8 string single/single.
The one on Craigslist is also an earlier long-scale 1000 model from late '63-early '64 (and not a "Stringmaster"). Note the difference in pedals and pickups. The bridge/saddles are a completely different design as well. _________________ No chops, but great tone
