Is the case the original Carter hardshell case and do you know the year it was built?

this guitar is not perfect as you can see the last picture posted someone did something here not sure what they was trying to do but it does not effect the playability. i am asking only $1500 for this guitar. if you want something to play on this would be good for that. if you want something to play at gigs this would be good for that as well. it stays in tune very well and sounds good as well i just want a different guitar.

Does it have the BCT?
I think that there is an extra sticker or something on the ones that do.
The serial number should also be able to answer that question.
Not that it may matter. There are a lot of guys that like their pre-BCT Carters just fine.

FWIW, it looks like the 5th knee, the vertical, is missing.

Regardless of that, IMO if someone is looking for a great first guitar, or a back up, they'd better jump on this.

Especially if you are within driving distance.
Speaking of which, where is the guitar?
Is it in Branson?

Deciphering the serial number, this guitar was built on August 29, 1998.

They began BCT in July of that year, so this steel has it since it was built the following month.

If you want to be ridiculously specific, this is the 43rd guitar from Carter with BCT.

ok this guitar is not butt ugly it has two spots that are damaged or not perfect. it is a nice looking guitar sounds great stays in tune really good. and it has the bct that carter does this guitar was made in august of 1998 and i was told the bct was started in july of 1998. i am downing the price $300 because of the two chips in the formica that you can't even saee when the pad is in place. so this is it its a good guitar for more than a fair price.
