On Bobbe's site he is advertising a Legrande 111 and he mentions that Emmons is no longer producing them. What's the story on this? I owned one about three years ago and it was a great guitar. If it hadn't been a lacquer guitar that I was terrified of putting a ding in I would still own it.

Look under other guitars. You may have to refresh your browser.
He has a Legrande 111 with counterforce on both necks. Nice guitar!!

I checked his site, but the copy for the LeGrande III didn't say anything about them being discontinued?

Am I missing something?

When was the last time and date anyone got one? We are talking about LG IIIs here, I just would like to know.
How many folks have one ordered now?
I wish this great legendary company the best in getting these guitars out, but haven't heard of any being delivered as of late.
I have amended my ad on my web-site while awaiting this information. You may email me directly above.

This is a wonderful product and I hope there will be more in the future, as I'm sure many of us do.

Looks like Rabbit got a guitar with one LeGrande II neck and one LeGrande III neck.
Could it possibly be a LeGrande two and a half?

---------or possibly a five and a half?

I knew a guy that had a Sho-Bud Pro III, with one Pro II wooden neck, he called it a Pro 2.5, he also had some other names for it.

P.S., I haven't gotten any E-mails, yet,

I wish Bobbe would make up with Ron Lashley like he did with Reese. I like Bobbe a lot but when he talks about "Emmons" you can just feel the venom.

Erv, no, you have never been so wrong in your life. I can't believe you said that. I love Ron and Rebecca, I loved their father, and I love the guitars.
I can't figure out where you are coming from with this truly ridiculous statement. I thought you were a good friend. It looks like the venom is all coming from you. What is your problem?
I have twelve of the nicesest Emmons steel guitars in the world in stock in my store now and will take all the Emmons guitars I can get. I pay top prices for any Emmons guitars.
Man, I just can't understand your making this statement.

Anyone know what brand of guitar I have been playing for the last 36 years? Sure, I've played some different ones, but the main guitar brand for many years and the ONLY brand I service and restore is what? Everyone seems to know but Erv!

Sorry for all that get offended by comments they feel are negative towards the Emmons company.
I have owned Emmons guitars since 1967 and currently have four. But I wonder when folks say there is a 18 months waiting list, who is getting all these guitars or are they only building one a year ?. Don't get all bent out of shape ,just provide a little info here. I have been making a serial # list and they are getting to be scarce for the last year or so.
I know all about a few p/p guitars that were made but I am talking about LeGrande guitars. ? Anyone .
I just sold one that was built in October of 04. How many are newer than that ?
I noticed on Rabbit Easters new guitar there is no chrome backing plate on the Emmons logo, What's up with that. Out of stock or what ? just curious.
I will get roasted and toasted by the dissenters, but what the hey....After sixty years of trying to learn this wonderful instrument I have still got pretty broad shoulders..LOL

I think we are all concerned and care about this legendary company.

My entire life was built around this companies product, I moved to Nashville in the sixties and Stu Basore and Weldon Myrick invited Ron Lashley and me to have lunch one day and I talked to Ron about playing a P-P guitar on a perminant basis at that time, as a matter of fact, I built an entire career on Emmons guitars from that point on. This was after I was a steel dealer in my home town on the east coast and sold the first Emmons guitars ever sold through a music store early in '65.
Kenny Dale on this forum still has this first ever "dealer" guitar that I sold to Lester Edney, since died, (Lester, not Kenny)
Ron Lashley talked me into starting "Steel Guitar Nashville" retail steel store in 1982, I did and I immediately stocked a dozen new Emmons P-P guitars in Goodlettsville (Nashville area).

So as most can see, my entire life has been associated directly in one way or another with this company. I have earned the right to be concerned, but still, I am only one of hundreds of players and fans that care about this company and it's great products.

To be called "Venomous" is way beyond being offensive to me, especially by someone I considered a friend for several years, even though I have never met him face to face.

To close, I'd like to say, there are no bad Emmons guitars, I should know, I've had hundreds of them, some to sell, some to play, some to collect, and all to love.

Is it the only guitar in the world? Absolutly not, there are many great guitars, but I love these silly things, and why shouldn't I? After 40 years and a lifetime with them. I still have my main Emmons after 34 very useful years, it's still my number one.

Sure I love several other guitars. GFI, Mullen, Fessenden, Legend, Performance, Sho-Bud, Magnum, Rittenberry to name a few, and I have some I don't really like to well----

Sorry about the rant, I just didn't want anyone to think I was "down" on this great old company.

I'm just concerned because I care.
Have I bored you guys enough?
